1. I/we agree to supply the city clerk’s office with my/our forwarding address and the final payment within 10 day of the date of the last bill. 2. I/we understand that payment for water/sewer service is required to be paid in full by the 25th of each month. I/we also understand that service will be disconnected if payment is 60 days late and a $50.00 disconnect fee and $50.00 reconnect fee will apply. 3. I/we herby agree that my data entered in the Water Sewer Service Application will be stored in our property address file at City Hall.

All accounts need to be in the property owner’s name.

As the property owner, you can either pay the water bill yourself or have your tenants set up an account in their name. If you have the tenants get their own account, you will receive a copy of the tenant’s bill each month.

If you have a Property Management Company handle the property, you, as property owner, will need to set up the account and specify your Management Company and their contact information.

Please let us know when tenants change so the bill can be put back in your name or a new tenant’s name.

Excerpt from City Code:

401.03 Accounts in Name of Owner. All accounts shall be carried in the name of the owner who personally, or by his or her authorized agent shall apply for such service. The owner shall be liable for water and sewer service supplied to the property, whether he or she is occupying the property or not. The owner of rental property agrees, as a condition of receiving service, to be personally liable for water service furnished to tenants, lessees and other occupants of the premises. Unpaid charges that reach termination level may result in termination of service according to the provision of this ordinance, or any unpaid charges may be a lien upon the property, or both at the option of the city.
