CADC Meetings are held the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 4:00 pm in the backroom at Streetcar.

                    SOUTH TERRACE COURTS

We are proud to announce that the Carlton Area Development Corporation (CADC)

has officially obtained 501(c)(3) nonprofit status!

The court surface has been marked for where the pickleball net poles, tennis net poles and center fence will go.  Once the blacktop is in, the fence will be put back up.  The courts are scheduled to be painted either the end of May or beginning of June.  The weather will dictate this.

This fall, the Greenhouse is planning to add perennials along the north and south sides of the fence - something to look forward to in October!

$62,000 Raised - Help us Reach $92,000

We're just $30,000 away from reaching our goal to build a playable surface.   Every contribution brings us closer - let's make it happen together!

Thank you Twin Lakes Township for the donation of $10,000 for the South Terrace Courts Project!

Thank you Woodlands National Bank for the donation of $8,000 and an additional grant of $24,000 for the

South Terrace Courts Project.

Click on the images below to see the progress that has been made.  The old surface was removed and pit run and class 5 gravel was added  in 2024 to expand the footprint of the court and to allow the surface to settle and compact over the winter.  The CADC board is working hard to secure grant, donations and sponsorships to complete the South Terrace Courts project.

SOUTH TERRACE COURTS COMMUNITY MEETING

4TH WEDNEDSAY OF THE MONTH AT 4:00PM

CARLTON CITY HALL

Please join members of the Carlton Area Development Corporation (CADC) to help make 4 Pickleball Courts and 1 Tennis Court a reality.  The image below shows the planned layout.   CADC members are looking for funding options and could use your help to make this project happen.

The South Terrace tennis courts have been in disrepair for many years. The land for the courts was previously owned by Carlton Schools, but has been deeded to the City of Carlton. The plan is to construct one dedicated tennis court and four pickleball courts. The courts will be open to the public and used by Carlton Schools for gym classes.
